Covers all VHF A9 High Band (146-174MHz) with CTCSS .

Another excellent VHF transceiver from the collection for sale. Just bench tested and listened to a few local police frequencies (165MHz) and has excellent receive quality.. I programmed a few test 2 meter ham repeaters into it (147mhz) and was transmitting about 25 watts and was given excellent loud audio reports on air. Receiver is just as great at 165mhz as it is at 147mhz! Has Version 3.95 single mode firmware installed.

The PRM8030's are an excellent radio for the mobile as they are remote head. Excellent used as a scanner also, as its capable of scanning 16 channels per bank, and there can be 5 banks of 16 (has to be programmed via software). This one comes with about 3 meters of control cable, power/speaker connector, microphone in average condition (parts of plastic cord has split,but works 100%) . Does NOT come with an extension speaker, but any CB extension speaker can be connected, nor does it come with the mounting plate/bracket for the car, though it will come with the side mounting plastics so its ready to go on the mount plate. Head has no mount. The power cable is short (about 20cm). It is 99 channels programmable with CTCSS options, currently has a few test frequencies in it, but im happy to reprogram for whatever is required before shipping, but let me know as soon as auction ends. The heads LCD screen is nice and bright with all characters displaying perfectly :)
