Single Cylinder Vertical Steam Engine Kit

HO or O Scale (see notes below) Assembly and painting required.

Australian made, this is a highly detailed cast whitemetal and resin kit produces a typical industrial single cylinder horizontal steam engine as found in many rural sawmills, shearing sheds and light industrial machine shops.

This kit includes the following items to produce the Steam Engine as pictured:

Engine:

• 1 x cast whitemetal base
• 1 x cast whitemetal flywheel
• 1 x cast whitemetal drive wheel 
• 1 x cast whitemetal cylinder & slide
• 1 x cast steam cock and governor
• 1 x cast steam valve 
• 1 x length of wire for piping
• 1 x cast resin 'brick' base 
• comprehensive instructions 

Scale notes: Flywheel measures approx. 16mm in diameter:

• 2' 6" in O scale
• 4' 6" in HO Scale 

NOTE: It is a static model, not 'live steam'. Assemble with either low-melt solder & flux or 'gel' type superglue. (The cast-in drive shaft could be removed and replaced with a brass axle so the flywheel and drive pulley can rotate. They could then be driven by a small electic motor, as in our Dynamo Kit).
