Old RCA and Hewlett Packard tubes made in USA. Got them about 3 years ago from US and haven't used them.

They are ment to be great for guitar preamps and pro audio

  • 2 RCA 12au7s in original boxes stamped with 5963 in silver
  • 2 Hewlett Packard 12au7 stamped in same writing as RCA but white 5963
  • 2 12au7a made in USA

All tubes are from 1960's and have not been used since sent from US 3 years ago when i purchased them. I have no way i can test them but all where said to work fine when i got them, so thats why i will start auction so low. I know you can pay upto 15 us dollars for one good working RCA. Most info can be found on the web

This tube makes a decent substitute for the 12AU7 as the characteristics are almost the same.  The 5963 has a slightly lower plate voltage rating compared to regular 12AU7.  The 5963 has a max plate voltage of 250V while 12AU7 has a max of 330V. This tube has a specially designed cathode which can withstand long periods of time in cut-off without hurting the tube.
