Small container Khol stick Kurdish Iran Islamic tribal
Description
This exquisite little treasure was made with love to hold a tiny delicate balsa wood kohl stick.Perhaps a little of the black eye liner was stored in the holder but it would seem more likely there was a separate container for the kohl.
It comes from a Kurdish group that migrated from their usual area of Iran in the far west to the northeast near Mashhad.
Shades of blue, red, brown, black and white wool have been used to decorate the holder..
