This auction is for a genuine new solid, french oak double bed, made from real french oak. This bed consists of four thick posts, the head posts are curved back ,deep side rails all round and a curved head board, and pine bed slats.

The beds are built by me in south Devon. I make oak frame beds as a side line to my oak frame house building job. This particular one is dimensioned as follows:

   61.1/2 "  - 156 cm  WIDE 
   78"          - 198 cm  LONG  
  Mattress sits 21" - 53cm above floor  level
 
 This bed is built for a double mattress  - 135 cm - 53"  WIDE
                                                                    - 190 cm - 74"  LONG
                                                                    - 19   cm - 7.1/2 DEEP
I make beds to fit any dimension mattress / single double king queen etc using french oak and traditional mortise,  tenon and pegs design.
