Welcome to the auction for a Fantastic Sony Home Theatre System!

Model number is MHC-W28d, 2 box mini HiFi component system.

DVD player, plays MP3 CD's (which is great), CD's, VCD, CR-D, CD-RW, etc.

Has composite video, s-video and component video out, but not HDMI.

Multitude of sound formats supported, including Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic II, dts surround sound, digital cimena sound.

6 Speakers:

  • 2x small rear surround sound speakers (these are on spreaker stands, which are included in the sale)
  • 2x main speakers(hyrid dual woofer)
  • 1x centre spreaker
  • 1x Active Sub Woofer

Rating is 140w x2, +40w x3. This excludes the Active Sub Woofer (not sure on the wattage).

Colour is Silver (colour is closest to the last pic showing the surround speaker - colour is a bit different from the other pics because the flash went off in that one).

Amp and main control functions are housed in two boxes, I have these sitting one on top of the other (See right side of pic 1), but you can also place them side by side.

The system looks great in the living room, nice and imposing without being over the top!

I have used the system very successfully with my Digital projector, Big screen LCD, PS3, and media centre PC. Works great with all these, you've got to have great sound to get the most out of your movies/TV/games!

Excellent condition - only thing are some sticker marks on the top of the active sub woofer, will probably come off with a solvent/creme cleaner.

Sony Instructions and original remote control included in the sale.

 Q: Sorry me again also can you have a look on the back of the unit and see if it has a RCA output which will say SUB for the subwoofer. Can you tell me if it a RCA or just normal speaker wires hook into it. Thanks again
