 Q: will it accept 8mm cassets from an earlier sony handycam camcorder?
A: It accepts Standard 8. It does not take the newer Hi8 cassette. Hope this helps. Cheers.

 Q: Hi, Do this cam has a Short Play and Long Play Mode. Does it take an 8mm tape with Video 8 written on the tape. What suburbs are you. Thanks.
