The easiest way to buy glasses without trying them on is to buy a pair the most closely matches a pair that you currently have. All you need is a ruler and your old pair of glasses.

The simple way to get a comfortably fitting pair is just to take two measurements, the first all the way across your old frames and the second the depth of your frames. When choosing your frames make sure the overall width and depth is similar to your old frames this

However it doesn’t have to be exact, if the overall width is about 5mm different from your current frames and depth is less than 3 mm different, you won’t notice any difference.

If you don’t have a frame at the moment, then go and try on some frames in a shop, when you find ones that are comfortable take note of the overall width and depth.
