Heres a little info i found on the riverra.

You want a boat that is stable, soft riding, sure-footed, safe, dry, and above all, can be carried up the beach by two blokes and chucked up onto the roof of the car. It can't be done, right ? Wrong I
There are dozens of alloy boats on the market at the moment with these features and more. I'm talking about the good old fashioned alloy dinghy or all rounder. Forget the Barra boat or 'Snubbie'. For general purpose fishing and boating in wide open bays and estuaries, you can't beat the classic Aussie tinnie ? complete with three thwarts rounded bow, and proper vee bottom for a ride that is invariably much softer than anything on offer from a vee bottomed or rounded bow punt.
Sure, the classic dinghy isn't as stable as the punt, but that's not what these boats are about. No, the vee bottomed tinnie is about compromise; they are moderately soft, moderately stable, can be powered by moderately sized outboards. They perform best on windy coastal harbours and big open lakes.
One of the best of the bunch currently available is the 3.7 Stacer Riverra. Coupled with a Johnson 15 and a galvanised Brooker trailer, this is the rig that is up for grabs in our new subscriptions competition. It's also the rig that won the 3.7 m alloy dinghy rally (against five competitors) way back in March 1991. It really is that good.
The Riverra is 3.7 m long, has a maximum beam of 1.55 m and it weighs approximately 72 kg. Rigged, as tested with the brand spanking new '93 Johnson 15 hp outboard and single axle Brooker trailer, it weighs approximately 140 kg.
The Riverra is available with two or three thwarts, painted or unpainted, and comes with a very long foredeck and the biggest anchor/storage shelf in its class.
In terms of construction, the Riverra is pretty much middle of the road. It has a 1.6 mm bottom and transom, while the sides are constructed of 1.2 mm alloy.
The transom itself accepts power up to 20 hp, and is braced accordingly. It has a V-shape welded construction, with a central supporting strut providing additional stiffness and rigidity. At the top of the transom, a safety lip or extrusion extends inward to help prevent the outboard from falling off the transom should someone forget to tighten up the outboard mounting clamps.
The internal construction of the boat consists of six cross ribs (with foam rubber insulation between the alloy skin and the rib) an external keel or fore and aft strengthening strut, and solid transom corner and foredeck bracing, foredeck bracing.
Carry handles are in all the right places, with two on the outside transom corners, and an additional fore and aft running grab handle on the bow.
Other interior features include a nonskid floor (on painted versions) foam flotation in the thwarts, the provision of a threaded bung (instead of a rubber wedge) and a double towing eye. These latter two features have been incorporated since the Riverra was first tested back in March 91.
Is there room for improvement ? Yes, there is no such thing as the perfect boat, and the Stacer Riverra is no exception. The boat would be easier to carry if the foredeck carry handle was transverse instead of fore and aft. The boat would also benefit from the addition of a fuel tank pad or  holder,   and  a  rubber  gunwale extrusion.
In the construction area, most manufacturers now agree it is better to weld the thwarts to the cross members rather than rivet them against the side alloy skin ? which is the case in the Stacer. Similarly, the rowlock holders are better incorporated into a strengthening cross rib rather than welded straight against the sides where they inevitably twist and rock when the boat is being rowed.
Handling, Ride And Performance:
Out on the water, the Stacer performed just as I remembered it. In choppy inshore conditions with a 10-12 knot breeze, the Riverra was soft ? remarkably so for a tinnie ? stable, and very dry. Sure, run the boat into a choppy three quarter head sea, and you'll get wet, but it is certainly one of the driest tinnies around.
It's also quite easily driven, despite its unusually sharp forefoot. With the great new Johnson 15 on the transom we recorded a top speed of 21.5 knots ? and that was with the outboard leg trimmed about level. Had we pulled the leg up a pin or two, we might have cracked another knot or so. Regardless, 15 hp is more than enough for the rig when fished by two adults and a heap of fishing gear.
At the Johnson's full rpm and top speed, the Stacer also has a very useful operating range. On the standard 22.7 L OMC fuel tank (assuming that all of the fuel can be used) the Riverra can travel 70.5 nm or 14.1 nm for every gallon of fuel used.
The Verdict:
Overall, the Stacer Riverra/Johnson 15 hp package is a winner. It's not perfect, but it's getting pretty damn close. It lacks only a few features, and on the water it has an excellent combination of ride softness verses stability. The hull is also dry, easy to handle and very predictable ? especially when travelling downhill or before the sea.
