An elegant little fruit knife, 126 years old. The handle is mother of pearl and the silver is hallmarked with a crown, lion passant and P. Then hallmarked initials TM. There is the date engraved on the blade before the hallmarks - 21st September 1883. The handle has tiny silver plugs holding the pearl panels together and there is a plain silver rectangle in the centre. I imagine that is for engraving initials or name. This knife is 12.2 cm long. A nice antique. Why not take a look at my other pieces. Happy bidding and good luck. |
