Sterling Silver



 For sale is a photo frame made in London.

The photo frame is made of sterling silver and has stunning ornate repousse work on all four edges. The top has a blank cartouche. The photo frame has a glass front. The border and back of the frame is covered with deep blue cloth.  The arm at the back extends to support the piece. There is a swivel clip to hold the back plate in position. The piece has been lightly polished. 

 Measuremen: The piece is 17cm x 13.5cm. The actual photo area is 12.5cm x 9cm

Backstamp: Leopard (London), Lion Passant (Sterling Silver), upper case cursive "M" (1986) to the lower left corner - please refer to photo.

Condition: 

Overall Condition: Excellent

Repair work: no

Silver wear / tears : no

Deep scratches: no

Dents: no

Pitting: no

Superficial scratches from everyday usage and polishing: n/a to repousse work
 
The cloth border is in good condition with no tears (the cloth is slightly discoloured near the silver as someone has used a liquid silver cleaner previously). The support arms hinges open. The swivel clip works. The glass is not cracked or chipped or scratched.

Sterling Silver Repousse Photo Frames are very rare and highly collectable.
