Sterling Silver



 For sale is a cigarette case made in Birmingham.

The antique / vintage cigarette case is made from solid sterling silver. The case has "T.S.S. Ascanius" on the front  - the back is clear. The case opens with a clip spring fastener. The inside is washed in rich gold. The right hand  side is engraved "Entre Nous 4.2.1934" (French for "between us") and "Mappin & Webb Ltd." on the bottom. There is a band to hold cigarettes in place. Both sides are hallmarked.

 Measurements: The case is 8cm high and 6.5cm wide and 1cm deep (at widest area - the sides are curved)

Backstamp / Hallmarks: Lion Passant (Sterling Silver), Anchor (Birmingham) and  upper case  "E" (1929) - please refer to photo

Condition: 

Overall Condition: very good

Silver wear / tears : no

Deep scratches: no

Deep dents  - one dent to the back

Pitting: no

Scratches from everyday use and polishing: yes all over

The inside of the case is in excellent condition
