Sterling Silver Vintage Antique Perfume Bottle 1904

 For sale is a scent / perfume bottle with a silver collar made in London - this piece has a damaged lid.

The heavy antique perfume bottle has a glass base cut in hob-nail pattern with a silver collar. The ornate bottle is spherical in shape and the base is cut star burst. The sterling silver lid has fine has repousse work.

 Measurements: The bottle is 13cm high (with lid) and 11cm diameter at the widesgt point.

Backstamp / Hallmarks: Lion Passant (Sterling Silver), Leopard (London) and  lower case  "i" (1904) -   - please refer to photo

Condition: 

Bottle: Excellent - no cracks or chips. There is a smooth moulding fault at the base of the glass collar (it is not a chip) - please refer to photo

The silver collar on the bottle is in excellent condition with only the expected light dents and scratches from everyday use.

The lid is in POOR condition - the stem of the lid has been crushed and is now crumpled and has tears and sits pushed inside the top (this cannot be repaired). The lid still fits securely on the bottle collar and can be carefully removed with a light twist action. The ornate repousse top and side are in good condition - please refer to photo.

In good condition these scent bottles fetch nearly $200 - I am selling this "as is" The piece still displays well and in time you may find another lid to replace the current one.
