Vintage sterling silver filigree enamel butterfly brooch

This pretty piece is in very good condition.

The brooch is marked 925 for sterling silver to the back and is made from fine filigree threads of silver. The front has enamel patterning to the wings and body. It is a vintage piece and would predate 1970 and is most likely from around 1950.

There is one pin prick size spot of wear to the enamel on the white section of the body. There is no other enamel wear or loss. The clasp is a flat rollover locking type and firmly holds the pin. The pin is secure in its hinge but has some sideways movement.

The brooch is 31mm x 30mm.

For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
