6 Foot 8 Plait Brown Roo Hide Stock Whip

New, unused whip.

A beautifully made Roo Hide Stock Whip.

Tapered 8-plait Roo Hide Steel-Lined Cane handle.
Handle has a Spring Steel rod insert for extra strength.
Handle is built up and weighted at the grip to ensure excellent balance and grip.

French Grape Vine binding on the Keeper

The quoted length of a Stock Whip is the length of the plaited section (Thong) only and does not include the Handle or the Fall and Cracker.

Made from quality Australian Hide tanned in Queensland, Australia.


Colour of the whip may vary from the picture due to variations in the leather.

Stockwhips are the most popular style of whip in Australia.
Stockmen on horseback prefer them because they can be hung over their shoulder when not in use and they won't slide off like a Bullwhip does.
The keeper acts like a hinge to prevent the whip from sliding off.
Also if the handle breaks they can easily attach another.
