Description:
A fine landscape watercolour on artist's paper, signed "Stuart Evill" and dating circa 1930s. Framed - approx 14 X 17 inches (35.56 X 43.18cm).

This is a fine English School watercolour dating from the early 20th Century period.
The landscape depicts a classic English School scene, possibly of the Lake District or Scottish Highlands. Sympathetically painted, this beautiful valley with its steep heather covered hills has been executed with delicate brush strokes. Central a stream or brook cuts through the landscape reflecting the colours of the flora and fauna flanking either side.
The work is signed "Stuart Evill" lower left.
Date:
The watercolour probably dates to around 1930s.
Framing:
Contemporary plain moulded Pine. Finish: Limed and Gilt.
The watercolour is mounted on board and has a off-white mount.
Condition:
The painting has mellowed a little with age, but still retains good colouring generally. The frame has a few marks and minor dings, again consistent with age.
