Simply stunning Victorian Riding Jacket.

Obviously there are no labels on the jacket but I think it's made from a very good quality fine soft felt.

It's a beautiful deep dark purple colour with black details. Details on the jacket include: fine black piping fabric on the collar and cuffs. Buttons on the cuffs, pockets, front and back of jacket all covered in the same piping fabric to match.  The front has two areas of the most amazing brocade, at the neckline and on the middle which include a loop and large button closure.

As you can see in the pics the brocade in the middle area does need some mending. This would be quite easy to do but as the item is so old I decided to let the buyer be responsible for the repair if they so wish.

There are also discreet little poppers in various places to help the jacket stay done up.

The inside of the jacket is fully lined in a cream satin fabric. It is in great condition, the only flaw being a small 8cm long run in the fabric bottom right.

The shape of the coat is just awesome, it's a very traditional fitted riding style with curved bottom corners on the front.

An amazing coat in really excellent condition for it's age. It would be possible to wear this jacket if you wished, but is also perfect to add to a vintage collection for display.

I am a small size 10 and this coat fits me fine, it is sung on the shoulders but I would be comfortable wearing it. So I think anyone who is a small size 10 or size 8 would be fine.
