Description

This auction is for a Fantastic Victorian Fork and Spoon Set.

The set is hallmarked for London 1891, maker James Wakeley & Frank Wheeler.

The set is extremely ornate and the decoration is really stunning. I haven't seen many finer sets than this. It could have possibly been a Christening gift. There is an engraved cartouche, letters look like MW although the script is very ornate.

Both items of cutlery together weigh 54 grammes in total and each measures 155mm in length

The box is a work of art in itself, beautifully coated on leather and padded with velvet and silk.

All in all a stunning set..............

Condition

Generally in excellent original condition with minmal wear.
