Sydney FC had threatened to run away with the game after taking a 3-0 lead in the opening half-hour. Then David Beckham stepped up to the plate and he did not disappoint.....seconds later the stadium erupted as his stunning right-foot strike swerved perfectly into net off the fingertips of Sydney 'keeper Clint Bolton.

This game will be forever remembered as being a high scoring highly entertaining clash. A game which lacked nothing for passion as tensions boiled over on several occasions.

A night where Sydney FC flexed its muscle and 80,295 fans got to see a little piece of David Beckham magic.
