This is an image of the Sydney Harbour Bridge - a 25 second exposure taken late on a Sunday night hence the beautiful calm water reflecting the green lights from the bridge above.
It has been affixed to a sheer, clear acrylic block measuring 5 x 7" (3/4" thick) [175 x 115 x 20mm] and weighing1Lbs [450g] that has been finely polished with a diamond edged polisher leaving it is as clear as water.
Thick enough to stand on end, the block works terrifically when placed on a window-sill or under a lamp (or anywhere that light can be directed to pass through the image from the rear). This opens a whole new aspect of photography as the image reflects off the mirror-like interior walls of the block seemingly giving a third dimension to the photo.
We use 200 year archival Ultra Chrome UV inks so any concerns about the image degrading from light passing through them should be set aside - particularly if placed behind a window (which breaks down UV from sunlight in the first instance).
This is an item you almost certainly will not have seen in your life before with only two manufacturers intenationally.
As seen in the photographs the blocks do also hang flush to a wall using optional hang-tabs which we will supply upon request.
