Syma 3CH S026 CH-47 Chinook Rc Picoo Helicopter + GIFT

When Silverlit / Air Hogs first released their Tandem helicopter, aka "Twin thunder". It brought the Picoo Z series into a new level  of fun and excitement.  The tandem Z can finally manage to go forward, left and right instead of just looping in a circle. But so far, we heard quite a few complaints about the Tandem. 

First of all, there is two weird plastic stabilizer at both end, which a lot of people think that it makes the helicopter look so weird. Secondly, if you ever crash the helicopter into brick wall, you are for sure gonna waste your money into drain.  The Tandem Z can only withstand a very minimal amount of crashes, but that is not the major problem. The worst thing is the helicopter is really hard to repair!  The tandem Z is assembled by glue, if you ever open it up and put it back together, it will significantly affect the weight balance.  We are yet to know whether Silverlit is going to make any improvement, but Syma had just released their version of tandem helicopter, let see what they got!

Instead of using foam to construct the helicopter body, Syma had built the helicopter with plastic and the appearance of the helicopter looks almost exactly the same as the real Boeing Chinook helicopter.  If you ever try with any coaxial helicopter, you will find that it is very stable because the top rotor blades counteract the force act by the lower rotor blade.  With this new Tandem helicopter, Syma utilize coaxial blade at both the front and back, it makes it very stable while hovering in the air. 

In the past, when we play the Air Hogs twin thunder, we found that the helicopter could easily get blown away by our air conditioning system. With this Syma Tandem helicopter, it would just keep wobbling in the air but definitely won't fall straight to the ground.

As shown in fig 1, if you want the helicopter to have a forward flying tendency.  Then you will need to press the button on the transmitter's left shoulder a few times.  The more you press, the steeper the helicopter is going to lean forward. 

As shown in fig 2, if you want the helicopter to have a backward flying tendency, then you will have to press the backward button on the transmitter's left shoulder a few times.  The more you press, the steeper the helicopter is going to lean backward when you try to launch it. 

IIf you feel like just having the helicopter hover stably, then just adjust the two buttons until the helicopter can launch neutrally without leaning on both side.

While testing the Syma Tandem, we crashed it numerous times to the wall, ceiling, ceramic floor, fax machines…etc   however we found no sign of broken parts with the helicopter yet, or even if we do no worries!  The helicopter is assembled by tiny screws and inside of it, almost every part of the chopper is replaceable.

Syma may not be the first one who came up with the Tandem helicopter, but the level of fun and excitement with this new tandem helicopter had surely exceeded what the Air Hogs Twin Thunder had achieved.
