Manufactured in November 2002. This came out of a closed automobile dealership, they had built a new facility and outfit it with for the most part new equipment so no longer needed this system. It powers up with a charged battery in it, passes self test and enters operations mode with five main menus, receiving, inventory labels, communications and exit. I have limited knowledge as to how to use it but I have been able to read bar codes, input data, print to a printer. It comes with one battery and nothing else, I have no software etc. The battery takes a charge, I don't know how long it holds one. I do have two other slightly different PDT6800 in another listing and charging cradles and printers in also other listings.
