IT IS MADE BY ZELLWEGER AG, THIS MODEL IS SIMPLY NAMED A MODEL No. 29, AND WAS FIRST INTRODUCED IN ABOUT 1940, IT WAS STANDARD ISSUE FROM THE SWISS TELECOM COMPANY FOR MANY YEARS, IT WAS LATER SUPERCEEDED BY A MUCH LOWER BORING PHONE WITH MORE MODERN LOOKS, . THIS REALLY HAS A UNIQUE SHAPE AND LOOK AMONG TELEPHONES, AND MUST BE ONE OF THE TALLEST CRADLES AROUND, AND WITH THE ADDED ATTRACTION OF THE TWIN BELLS AT THE REAR.
THE CONDITION IS SIMPLY STUNNING, WITH NO CHIPS OR CRACKS, AND SHINES VERY NICELY INDEED. IT HAS BEEN TROUGH MY WORKSHOP, AND IS NOW FULLY RESTORED AND LOOKS GREAT, AND IS READY FOR SERVICE.

THE DIAL IS THE QUALITY SWISS CERAMIC TYPE. THE PHONE WAS JUST KNOWN AS THE MODEL No. 29 AND WAS ONLY EVER MADE IN SWITZERLAND AND ONLY OFFERED WITHIN THE COUNTRY, SO MAKING IT VERY RARE NOWADAYS.
THIS IS A HANDSOME TALL PHONE, THE WAY THE HANDSET STANDS ON THE TALL "U" SHAPED CRADLE, AND IS 21 CM TALL, AND BEST OF ALL ARE ITS TWIN REAR BELLS, AND BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT ENCLOSED GIVE A GREAT CLEAR OLD FASHION RING. THIS IS A RARE VERSION OF THIS MODEL.
THESE SWISS PHONES, HAVE BECOME, VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND OVER THE LAST 12 MONTHS, I HAVE JUST 2 LEFT NOW, AND I AM UNSURE IF AND WHEN I WILL BE ABLE TO SECURE SOME MORE. MOREOVER THE PRICES HAVE NEARLY DOUBLED OVER THE LAST 18 MONTHS, SO WHEN THIS STOCK HAS GONE I AM AFRAID THEY WILL BE QUITE A BIT MORE, IF I CAN FIND ANY.

THIS REALLY IS A BEAUTIFUL PHONE, AND BECAUSE OF ITS REAR EXPOSED BELLS GIVES THE BEST BELL SOUND OF ANY PHONE. THE START PRICE IS MOST REASONABLE FOR A FULLY RESTORED VERSION OF THIS EARLY MODEL.
