Payment

PayPal and Direct Bank Transfer are my accepted methods of payment. If buyer is located outside of Australia, then PayPal is the only accepted method of payment. Once you have purchased one of my items you will have the opportunity to complete the payment at that time. If you need to have the invoice adjusted to combine postage of multiple items, please email me and I will generate an invoice for you.

If I have not recieved your payment within the same day as the item being purchased, I will assume that you have not been able to make the payment at the time of checkout for whatever reason. I will generate another invoice for you as a reminder and this may also be easier for newer buyers on eBay.

If there is anything that you are unsure about in regards to making payment please don't hesitate to contact me via email to discuss, or if you are unable to pay via either of these methods please email me before bidding so we can make arrangements.

Shipping

All of my items can be happily shipped worldwide. If the item is being shipped within Australian my preferred method of shipping is with Australia Post. As a rule I allow my purchaser to choose between regular pre-paid parcel post satchels, pre-paid registered post satchels and/ or pre-paid express post satchels. If you would like to discuss any additional methods of shipping please email me before bidding. For buyers that are new to eBay, when the invoice is generated and sent to you it allows you to choose the method of postage you wish to choose. For protection I always recommend Registered Post.

If the combined weight of the books you are purchasing goes over 500 grams, they will be sent in 3kg Satchels and they are priced as follows:

Pre-Paid Express Post 3kg Satchel Australia Wide $11.30

Pre-Paid Registered Parcel Post 3kg Satchel Australia Wide $12.70

All items of value greater than $100AUD will always be sent via registered mail within Australia. For items with a value of lower than $100AUD the buyer can happily choose registered post.

Whilst all care is taken to ensure that the items are packaged as safely as possible, the Seller accepts no responsibility for lost or damaged items in post. To ensure that in the case of any item being lost or damaged, I recommend that you choose the Registered Post option as this includes up to $100 cover on the item.

Items that are being posted internationally will be shipped by Australia Post. My offered shipping method is Standard SeaMail and Standard AirMail. Both of these postage options do not include any insurance on the item. If you would like to discuss any alternative arrangements please email me to discuss.

Shipping Insurance is not offered on items that are being posted internationally.

Terms of Sale

All sales are final. If you have any questions about an item please ask the questions before bidding or buying.

All the items that we sell are sourced from dealers, markets, estate sales and bric-a-brac stores. We do pride ourselves on only offering for sale items that we believe still have a lot to offer you, the new owner. Please keep in mind that all of our items are not new and will show signs of being pre-loved.

Any non paying purchasers will be reported to eBay's non-paying buyers register.

The Following Terms are used to describe our books:

MINT: Without faults or defects.

NEAR FINE: A book approaching MINT but with a couple of very minor defects or faults.

VERY GOOD: A book showing some signs of wear

GOOD: The average used book that is totally complete (as issued) and intact.

FAIR: A worn book that has complete text pages (including those with maps or plates) but may lack endpapers, half-title page, etc.

POOR OR READING COPY: A book that is sufficiently worn that its only merit is the complete text, which is still lebible. May be soiled, scuffed, stained, or spotted, and may have loose joints, hinges, pages, etc.

BINDING COPY: A book in which the text block, including illustrations, is complete but the binding is lacking, or in such poor condition it is beyond realistic restoration efforts.

BOARDS: The front and back covers of a hard cover book.

BOOK PLATE: An ownership label, usually placed inside front cover.

DOG-EARED: Worn or ragged, usually referring to the edges of pages and binding. Corners of pages turned down like dogs ears.

FOXING: The brown age spots thought to be caused by impurities in paper (e.g. Acid, exposure to humidity, etc.)

WAF "With All Faults": As in "Sold WAF".
