"THE GOONIES"

The Goonies is a cult classic film from 1985. It was directed by Richard Donner from the Chris Colombus screenplay of Steven Spielberg's story.

It is about a group of kids from the "Goon Docks" neighborhood of Astoria, Oregon. They embark on an adventure to find the buried treasure of One-Eyed Willy, a legendary 17th century pirate, in the hope of saving their homes from demolition.

Charcters such as Chunk and Sloth have remained a part of popular culture for over twenty years.
