DESCRIPTION It's 1971 and The Killer is hot. Jerry Lee Lewis is in the middle of the most creative, consistent and successful period of his career. Since 1968 when Eddie Kilroy convinced him to cut "Another Place, Another Time", the country hits have just kept on coming. The Midas Touch has returned and Jerry Lee Lewis is the hit machine that those early days at Sun Records had promised. Ironically, the hits are coming from both new Mercury Smash releases and vintage materials from the last two Sun Record sessions at 639 Madison in Memphis. THE JERRY LEE LEWIS SHOW was shot in Nashville in the Summer of 1971, under the direction of Rita Gillespie of "Oh Boy!" and "Shindig" fame, it represents a tentative pitch at the television market. Intended as a pilot to tempt the television networks to a weekly show, it was neither picked or ever shown...This DVD will make a welcomed addition to any Jerry Lee Lewis fan.
