Spofford, Ainsworth R., & Charles Gibbon, eds. 8 Volumes Complete ~ 1883 For auction, an antique 8 volume anthology of literature published in 1883. Publisher: Gebbie & Co, Philadelphia 1883. Bound in brown cloth with beveled edges, embossed black cover design, title in gilt on cover and spine. Illustrated with a frontis, second title page vignette, and additional tissue-protected engraved plates. All edges gilt. 8vo (6 x 9-1/2"). Volume Condition: Covers are very good with light shelf wear, lightly bumped corners, slight chipping at spine foot and crown. Hinges slightly cracked to cracked front and back most volumes, Interiors near fine. Shelf presentation is very good, a handsome library addition.
