"It is twenty years since the controversial Battle of Long Tan took place in South Vietnam on 18 August 1966.  D Company Six Battalion were honoured for their courage and the action made world news, but only now can the story of that battle be fully told - from the viewpoint of the soldiers.  It is a viewpoint at times in comflict with the official army version of events.

This detailed account of Australia's major Vietnam battle has been written by one of the participants, and his story reconstructs the action using secret documents as well as the recollections of many of the diggers....."

 

Hardcover with dustcover, ex library, still has clear protective cover, first blank page removed, some wear on edges, discoloured page edges.
