A great opportunity ot pick up a signed copy at a very cheap price.

This 120 page softcover looks at the history of this 2,500 metres race for three-year-olds, from its beginnings in 1885.  The roll call of famous horses to win the Victoria Derby resembles a who's who of the turf.  Shining lights of the 19th century, such as Florence, Briseis, Chester, Grand Flaneur, Martini Henri and Wallace were joined last century by such names as Poseidon, Whittier, Manfred, Phar Lap, Delta, Hydrogen, Tulloch, Tobin Bronze, Dayana, Dulcify and Red Anchor.

Illustrated throughout with black and white photographs.  This book is ex-library and as such has all the usual stamps and stickers internally and externally.  Marc Fiddian has signed inside first page.  The cover has a contact covering which has a few marks to back and light yellowing/fading to front.  Internally there is light browning to page edges, but it is otherwise in a good, tight, clean condition with none of the grubby finger marks so often associated with ex-library books.  An interesting read at a great price!
