THYME

10 seeds

A small perennial herb that prefers full sunlight and tolerates rather dry conditions. Well suited to pots indoors. Thyme is best planted to a depth of 5mm and germination usually occurs in approximately 12-14 days, but will depend on temperature conditions.  Thyme is a common inclusion in the French bouquet garni, which is purely a bunch of fresh or dried herbs tied together and used for the flavouring of soups, stews or casseroles.  To make a bouquet garni, simply tie several sprigs of parsley, thyme and a bay leaf together and use for flavouring.
