TIGER BAY

JOHN MILLS, HAYLEY MILLS & HORST BUCHHOLZ

A young Polish seaman walks eagerly through Tiger Bay to visit Anya, the woman he wishes to marry. On arriving at her apartment he discovers that she has moved, leaving a large number of debts. He finds her new address and visits her, only to be told that she has another man now. During a violent argument, Anya takes a gun from a drawer, and in panic the sailor grabs it. He does not realise but as he commits his crime, he is being watched through the letter box.

Nominated for the 1960 BAFTA Film Award for Best British Film.
