TORAH SILVER FINIALS RIMONIM PALESTINE BEZALEL NOUVEAU

You are bidding on 2 very lovely silver Torah Rimonim made in Israel in the 1940s in Jerusalem. How do I know? Although there's no date, this pair of Rimonim were purchased from a synagogue located in one of Jerusalem's old neighborhoods. The owners said that they were from this period. They also sold me a Torah crown which I am also selling, similar in theme to  these filials which had a little plaque with the name of the donors which was dated 1944.

As to the Bezalel domain of these Rimonim. Let me prove my point from the following illustrations. Two of the scans which I have brought below are taken from Ze'ev Raban's illustrations on the Megillat Esther (see my original parchment reproduction and facsimile edition in my Ebay store). If you notice, the way Raban illustrated the clusters of grapes and grape leaves are VERY similar to the design found on these Rimonim. The date fits and so does the design. It is for these 2 reasons alone that I would say that these are Bezalel Rimonim. But there's another point that I would like to make. Together with these silver filials and crown, I had also purchased a Torah Breast plate (Hoshen) which WAS definitely made from one of Bezalel's artists, Muro or Mero. This I sold at a public Judaica auction several years ago. All of the above therefore lead me to conclude that this too is a Bezalel piece, and if not certainly made by a student of Bezalel since at that point in pre-state history, most Jewish artisans studies at one point or another there. 

Now for additional details. Each filial weighs 170 grams of silver ( a little less since the little bells are not made of silver). Their height is 10.5 inches (27cm). At it's widest the area of the grapes + leaves measures 4 3/4 inches.

Condition: These rimonim came to my hand broken up. I had them re welded in certain places and cleaned by a professional. New bells were acquired to replace the lost bells. Each Rimon has 4 bells on the outside and large one in the inside center. I think  that the lucky owner will be very pleased with his purchase of this unknown Bezalel piece, and at a bargain price too!
