1979 TRADITIONAL DOMESTIC ARCHITECTURE OF JAPAN HC DJ

This 152 page hard cover, illustrated book with dust jacket (185mm x 240mm, 7.25” x 9.5”) was published by Weatherill/Heibonsha, New York and Tokyo, 1979 and is a third printing. The first English edition was published in 1972. It was written by Teiji Itoh and is copiously illustrated throughout with monochrome and colour photos plus floor plans and diagrams.

 

“Traditional Japanese domestic architecture is epitomized in the minka; the houses of the common people built during the feudal age that preceded Japan’s nineteenth century.
