Van relisted due to buyer not fronting with money !! UNFINISHED PROJECT .. little bit of TLC and this VAN will be a ROCKET !! 1997 SWB Ford Transit Van , fitted with Holden Commodore 3.8 litre V6 engine and T700 4 speed auto transmission. The adapter kit is a Castle Automotive kit so its a neat engine & transmission transfer into this van. Engine is plumbed for water and has holden factory wiring loom and computer (just needs basic electrical connections to fire up)
What has to be finished: Needs Exhaust finished, the holden exhaust system is supplied with the van, as well as a BRAND NEW oxygen sensor to fit to the exhaust system and connect to engine computer Fuel line needs connecting to fuel rail on engine Transmission shifter (gear lever) needs to be connected, Holden floor shift is supplied or you may choose to fit an aftermarket cable driven B&M shifter (that was my plan) Ford Tailshaft is supplied, this will need to be modified one end to have holden transmission end fitted so you can go from rear of holden trans to ford transit diff. Engine & Trans Holden Engine and Transmission were taken from the same car and car was in good running order and trans worked nicely .. Engine used no water or oil and transmission changed in and out of every gear. Body work .. The body work is fairly straight and no real rust problems, minor dents back left corner (near wheel arch/bumper bar) Duco will need a nice cut and polish and it will restore nicely. Rear bumper bar is there, however the plastic covering isnt, you could paint that steel work black or get parts from wreckers to finish it. Front bumper bar and grill ARE INCLUDED .. not shown in these pictures. Interior: Back cargo area is neat and carpeted. Front dash is good Seats are grubby and will need a nice shampoo or seat covers.
SO THE MAJOR WORK HAS BEEN DONE ON THIS CONVERSION, IT WILL JUST NEED SOME FINISHING TOUCHES AND YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT LITTLE VAN WITH GOOD POWER AND RELIABLITY. I HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO FINISH THIS OFF AND ENDED UP BUYING A NEW WORK VAN CAUSE WE NEEDED SOMETHING QUICKLY. (pity .. i was really keen on the V6 work van idea !)
VAN CURRENTLY NOT REGISTERED .. when the conversion is completed you'll need to get it registered in your respective state. The V6 conversion is common for these vans so its a relative straight forward process. PAYMENT WITHIN 3 DAYS OF WINNING, THE BUYER CAN EITHER PICKUP, ARRANGE A PICKUP OR WE CAN GET A QUOTE TO TRANSPORT IT TO YOU.
