Lovely Rich Red Tudor or Jacobean Lounge Suite

This wonderfully comfortable suite consists of one large sofa seating three and two matching single chairs.

It has been in the family since any of us can remember and was purchased from the highly respected furniture firm of Trittons. Ours was always a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Polished with a rich wine, rosewood colour, the solid timber is ornamented with carvings of scrolls, acanthus leaves and ancient torches along the chair backs, arms and legs. The chairs have the characteristic wicker inserts at the sides and backs and the front turned legs have carved ball and claw feet.

The chairs were re-covered some years ago. The traditionally-patterned woven floral fabric is subtly coloured and in very good condition with barely noticeable fading in some parts.

The wicker is securely attached and undamaged but, as to be expected with furniture of this age, all panels have lost some colour. One corner above the leg of the three-seater shows signs of damage and repair. Please look closely at the photos.

DIMENSIONS :
Three-seater - 165cm wide across the back, 184cm wide at the front armrests, 87cm deep and 84cm high at the back.
Each single-seater - 58cm wide across the back, 74cm wide at the front armrests, 87cm deep and 84cm high at back.
