Tandberg TR 2055 / 2075 / 2075 MkII / 2080 lighting kit

Tandberg earned a reputation for building rock-solid, super high-performance stereo receivers in the late 1970’s. These fine audio components were hand-assembled in Norway, and their tuners had sensitivity and noise rejection capabilities equal to some of the finest component tuners made. They had a beautiful sonic quality and were built to last a lifetime.

The TR 2075, TR 2075 MkII, and TR2080 are certainly the most desirable receivers from the vintage days of Tandberg. Produced for several years between the mid-1970's and early 1980's, these receivers were rated at better than 2x75 watts and offered performance to match many more expensive separate components. Built as an integrated set of independent component assemblies using rigid extruded aluminum chassis sections, they featured a superb AM/FM tuner, preamp with switching for two turntables & two tape decks including separate tape monitor & tape copy switches, and a powerful main amplifier section. The TR 2055 shared the same design attributes as these three larger models, but offered slightly less power.

This auction is for complete lighting kit for the four receivers listed. It includes 6 new dial lamps (two go behind the meters & four behind the tuner display), a new FM stereo indicator bulb (screws into a socket behind the tuner display), and a replacement bulb for the dial indicator (requires soldering to install). All of these match the original part specifications and install exactly as the originals did. The bulbs shown in the picture are the actual parts you will receive, along with an instruction sheet for installing the bulbs. The Tandberg receiver literature shown is not included.

Note: If your receiver has been modified to accept non-original bulbs, you may have to reverse those modifications to use this lighting kit. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have on installation or other technical questions on the kit or these receivers.

• This auction is set up to reflect free domestic shipping, with no handling charges. 
• I make every effort to find and use the lowest cost USPS mailing method appropriate for your item, and refund surplus shipping paid whenever possible.
• Please remember that selecting the lowest cost shipping methods (Parcel Post or First Class Mail) also results in the slowest delivery - please do not leave low detailed seller ratings because of this fact! If you need the item faster, Priority Mail is a better choice.
  
• Please contact me if the USPS shipping method you want is not offered in the listing. If that service is available for the particular item, I will revise & resend the invoice.
  
• I normally ship once a week on Saturdays, but will always attempt to ship sooner if your payment is received between late Saturday and mid-week.
• In the case of larger items shipped overseas, USPS Priority is currently the lowest cost service available. DHL & UPS are much, much higher. I will use First Class Mail International where possible but it has a weight cut-off of 4 lbs. There is no longer a surface shipment option, as USPS eliminated Surface Parcel Post last year. 
• I use recycled packaging materials when I can, because I believe it is the environmentally sound thing to do.
• I also use new USPS Priority & other packaging materials to supplement the recycled materials where appropriate.
• I’m always very careful to make sure the item being shipped is properly protected regardless of the type of packing materials used.
• I am taking the time to explain all this because eBay in their infinite wisdom has raised their fees to sellers, and the only way to mitigate that is with near-perfect feedback so they will provide a small discount on fees. I cannot afford to offer these great vintage audio items at the prices I typically do and end up paying higher fees because a buyer decided they paid too much shipping on one of my items.
