(Aust tapestries are cheaper than European brands because of

 the varing qualities of the canvas.. plus their screen printing techniques /inks used, depth of colour etc..

I have worked Austral canvases (including Petite point) and while not a smooth as some, they hold their shape very well, and can be used for finer stitches.

Not recomended for silks (thread catches) but then this scene is not the type you would use it on!

Suitable also for DMC fine wool (Medici).
