Teak Chest of Drawers - Parker style Danish Eames era

Danish Modern/Parker style chest of (9) drawers. Manufacturer is believed to be Berryman Furniture (Australia) circa 1960s. Construction of the cabinet is teak veneer with solid teak edging. The legs and undercarriage are Tasmanian blackwood. Drawer fronts are veneer over plywood with dovetailed joins.

As can be seen from the photos the grain on this one is stunning. The patterning on the drawer fronts creates a beautiful rhythm across the front of the piece. The edges are finished with solid strips of teak and mitred at the corners.

All timber surfaces have been carefully and subtly restored. After cleaning and re-oiling, it has come up beautifully. There is some slight age-related patina on the surface but overall this is well above average and would easily be described as excellent condition. The photos are a realistic representation of the condition. There is a small chip on the bottom edge of the top right hand drawer – refer to photos

Size: 150cm wide, 72cm high and 45cm deep (the internals of each drawer measure 45cm wide and (a few mm less than)11cm high)

Pick up is from Frenchs Forest in Sydney's north. Couriers to east coast locations are OK if organised by the buyer.
