Item specifics

Instrument Family: Guitar

Up for auction is my Tech 21 SansAmp GT2 pedal

This pedal is used, but in good condition with no major marks or damage to the knobs and switches.

Note - Battery cover on the back is missing

This does not affect the operation of the pedal at all, i just stuck some sticky tape over the opening and its fine.

For those of you not familiar with this pedal, its essentially an amp modeller focussed on creating specific distortion sounds. This thing can give you a real trashy British twang reminiscent of early 70's punk, or a more fuzzed distortion (think Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet with Butterfly Wings) on the California setting, or a kind of Fender warm sound on the Tweed setting.

There are also EQ knobs and different settings for mic positioning and distorition level for each type.

One word of caution though, it still wont save you from the old truism: Bad sound in = bad sound out. You need to have a good guitar tone to take advantage of this pedal properly, and a decent amp.

I used it with a Peavey Rage 158 practise amp and it sounded evil, then tried it with my Marshal stack and it sung like a bird.

The pedal runs on 9V battery or standard BOSS style power source (not included sorry).

I have recently jumped ship to drums, so am selling all my guitar pedals to pay for new cymbals!

I've put the start price at $0.99 so good luck!

Please flick me a message if there is anything you want to know about this pedal, happy to respond.
