Hand-crafted from Tasmanian Blackwood (a beautiful, striped, hard wood), "The Cello Grippa" has been specially hand-crafted and satin finished by a local Australian cellist.
"The Cello Grippa" is suitable for any type of floor surface (eg. wooden floor-boards, tiles, carpet, etc). It won'tslip.
Unlike most other End-Pin Holders that are made out of black rubber, "The Cello Grippa" will not leave any marks on your floor surface or have any unpleasant smells.
The hole that you can see in the centre of "The Cello Grippa" is universal, and will fit any cello.
It is extremely durable and I have been using one myself for over four years.
This product is the most beautiful End-Pin Holder on the market and will compliment the wood grain of your cello and accent its aesthetic look.
"The Cello Grippa" has been endorsed by Australia's most recorded and awarded cellist - David Pereira.
"It is with gratitude that I praise 'The Cello Grippa' - it has become, though small, a treasured item of my cellistic baggage. Yes, it better grips floor surfaces than its well-known commercial competitors. But better still is that it offers a unique piece of wood of one's own choosing for each and every copy of itself. For grip and for floor protection this must be the finest solution yet available!"

Interesting facts about the Blackwood Grippa:
(And questions I often receive about this product are answered below)
Blackwood is a very dense wood, which makes it a very hard wood (out of all the different timbers I use, blackwood is the hardest/most dense wood I use for the making of the Cello Grippas)
Because Blackwood is a very difficult wood to work with, it takes just under 1 Hr. to make one Blackwood Grippa from start (as a piece of raw wood) to finish (sanded and varnished)
All the Cello Grippas are 100% hand made (they are not mass produced, nor made in a factory, just in my backyard workshop)
Only the best quality blackwood is selected, and only the Blackwood with the most interesting pattern and grain colours (shades of light and dark) is used
I always enjoy making the Blackwood Grippas (although they are the most difficult to make) because each one looks so different from the other
My personal choice of which is the nicest looking Cello Grippa is the Blackwood or the Redgum Grippa (but that is of course what I prefer)
If you have trouble deciding which colour/design Grippa to purchase, may I suggest that the most popular Grippas are:
** The CEDAR finish Grippa (goes well with any Cello)
** The BLACKWOOD Grippa
** The REDGUM Grippa
** The MERBAUWOOD Grippa
Other coloured Grippas that we have available are usually chosen to match a particular Cello colour.
