This is the 2009 first printing from CRW Publishing. 300mm x 240mm. 626pp. Violet cloth with a purple ribbon. Author's name in full: Edward Gibbon. Illustrations in this edition are by Giovanni Battista Piranesi. This edition includes 28 chapters in full with a precis of the omitted ones. It also includes 16 maps, a glossary and a chronological list of emperors.

These Collector's Library Editions are large handsome collectible hardcovers with full cloth binding in various colours with gilt lettering on the spine. They have a silk marker-ribbon sewn in, gilt edges, and colour decorative endpapers. They have full colour and gilt-lettered laminated dust jackets.
