THE FLOWER MAKER
Coral Hull
(Mixed Media/Artboard, Paper, 81cm x 135cm, Framed, 2006)
My name is Coral Hull and I am an established writer, poet, artist, photographer, lecturer and theorist living in Darwin, The Northern Territory, Australia. I was born with Autism and a multiple consciousness and my artwork reflects these unique ways of being in the world. The Flower Maker (The Flower Creator) is from the 'Faery Wood Collection' which is currently in progress. Like 'Seeding', this piece is inspired by the ideas of the development (or creation) of consciousness. How did we first become conscious in the world? Were we created or did we simply come into being of our own accord? This is one of my favourite pieces from this collection so far, as it shows a super consciousness at work to which we, as tiny cream and white flowers, are all connected. As an artist I am a creator, but I am also one of those flowers, created and evolving from a greater consciousness than myself. This piece is wired up and can be hung, however, it is tall and so it also looks good just leaning against a wall. It gently glitters so it does very well in a room of changing sunlight. In fact, it seems to thrive on it! The Flower Maker has been professionally framed by Don Whyte Framing in Darwin and sits in glass bordered by a thick and heavy silver ornamental wooden frame. The measurements given above are the size of the actual drawing itself. All artworks are guaranteed original and are sold from my own private studio/ gallery in Darwin. Payment is to be made via Paypal within 3 days of the auction ending. I offer a 7 day money back guarantee on all my artwork for Ebay buyers if it is returned in the same condition as it was purchased.
