The Versionaries Album ' We Come Again'

The Versionaries are a ragga/dub sound system consisting of ­­New Zealand dj/producer Christian Burns and New York toaster/mc Barrington Calia. As their name suggests, it’s all about different versions and coming up with a master rhythm and then dubbing, reforming and remixing each subsequent version into a sonic entity that can stand on its own. Now Resonating out of Bondi Beach, Australia the two have had extensive collaborations and have performed at many events and festivals within Australia and New Zealand. In 2008, The Versionaries have collaborated with or remixed artists such as Regal, Solaa, Pitch Black, Ishu & Lotek HiFi . The efforts of their most recent collaboration with the one and only Sweet As Soundsystem, DJ Kina & Rayjah 45, feat Hayden Weke and Ry Lungu on melodica, has resulted in Bhutee Skank, a positively rapturous, bouncy, 7 inch vinyl single that’s guaranteed to “nice up ya dance!” Bhutee Skank is the first single from their forthcoming LP ‘We Come Again’, featuring their latest Versions, Collaborations and Remixes and will be released in November through ForeignDub/MGM. The Versionaries live dub extravaganza will be touring in Nov/Dec/Jan 08/09, Australia/ New Zealand with DJ Kina, Rayjah45 and Hayden Weke serving it up “inna one voice”.
