Thiel Speakers CS2.3 - MINT, Upgraded Jewel

These speakers resemble pure craftmanship with 3 inch thick front baffle and 1" side walls, heavy internal bracing and finely matched veneer. These speakers were well over A$6,000 new. Mid range/tweeter were recently upgraded at a cost of A$650. The upgraded drivers are smoother and more natural throughout the upper midrange. This will be especially clear on female vocal and piano recordings. You may also find this to be true on massed strings and the like. The sound quality is simply amazing, reproducing every single minute detail with antonishing clarity. The sound quality is simply beyond description and there is no substitute for an audition.

Theil speakers have been designed and built to optimise a core set of attributes: flat frequency response, time and phase coherence, low energy storage, and low distortion. These goals led to - the Coherent Source configuration and sloping front panels, curved baffles, massively braced cabinets, underhung dynamic drivers etc. Well designed and outward appearance.
