"Kaina kal palaia"
is the romanized version of the Greek title
This 1658 text is missing it's original title page
and has been trimmed and rebound,
probably in the 18th century.
The hand written title page, that has been added is dated 1657,
mistakenly taking it's date from the 'To the Reader' page
by Thomas Fuller "From my Chamber in Sion Coll. London, Jan.10th.1657"
and attributing authorship to Fuller, instead of John Spencer.
Apart from the missing title page the text appears to be complete
and comprises the following:
2 page "To the Reader"
8 pages of "The Names of the severall Authors cited in this Collection"
679 pages "Things New and Old: or, Similes, Sentences, &c.
and 34 pages (unpaginated)
" An Alphabetical Table, pointing out the whole Matter"

gilt rulings and devices
