This volume of 23 essays, largely reminiscent and autobiographical in character, revealing Mr. Churchill's wide range of interests and experiences.  Many of the papers touch on the lighter side of grave affairs, but this cannot be said of those such as Shall We All Commit Suicide? and Fifty Years Hence, in which Mr. Churchill, with his uncanny prophetic touch, utters warnings of dangers threatening Civilisation - dangers now seen to possess a reality that must have appeared improbable to many when the volume was first published.

Published by Odhams Press in 1948, this book is in good + used condition.  It has some light wear to the jacket edges and corners, two small tears to the jacket and a few tiny tears and creases along jacket edges.
