THE PIANO IS A FERD.THERMER "MIESSEN" MADE IN GERMANY.PIANO IS MADE FROM A BEAUTIFUL DARK TIMBER WHICH HAS BEEN FRENCH POLISHED. FEATURES ORNATE BRASS CANDLE HOLDERS AND OTHER BRASS DECORATIVE ELEMENTS.
The piano plays okay, but there are two keys presently not working. We have been assured that a simple adjustment is all that is required to fix it.
The piano will also definitely need a tune after it has been moved to its new home.
This is a beautifully crafted instrument, and due to the age of this piano, there are some flaws in the wood and I have tried to include photos of these. In particular, there is a mark on the lid at front of piano and one on the top. Both marks are approximately 1cm to 1.5cm across. I don't believe they detract from the look of the piano at all, and to be honest I had not noticed them before. The stool is basic, and not in the same finish as the piano.There is also a rip in the fabric at the back of the piano and some of the wood has come off from under the lid. Please check photos provided. Overall, this is still a gorgeous piano and ideal for a beginner.
