This is the latest album from David South & his Scottish Dance Band and is dedicated to the memory of David's dad James.

James was an influential figure in the Scottish Country Dancing scene of South-East Queensland.  He was one of the motivating forces behind the formation of the South-East Queensland Branch (later to be known as the Queensland Branch) of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society, was convenor of the first Australian Winter School to be hosted by that Branch and, along with his wife Phyllis, received the Society Scroll from the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society in recognition of his efforts in promoting Scottish Country Dancing and the Society's values.

This CD contains music and instructions for the only dance devised by James, Leeze Me - a dance dedicated to his wife Phyllis.

James South was born with a faulty heart valve.  Despite having surgery to replace the valve, it was this condition that was to eventually take his life at the age of 59.  With this in mind, for every CD sold we will donate $20 towards furthering research into treating this condition.  The letter of authority we have on file from the Heart Valve Bank of The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation Trust can be obtained by sending an e-mail to here .
