Towle OLD ENGLISH (1892) SS Lemonade Stirrer - NM

This auction is for an extremely fine and antique (ca.1900) solid Sterling silver lemonade stirrer by Towle in in their early and highly collectible OLD ENGLISH pattern of 1892. Spoon measures 8.5" long and is finely crafted from medium gauge Sterling silver (weight on my postal scales 1 1/8 ounces of the precious alloy). Back of handle is marked with manufacturer's trademark + Sterling + Pat 1892. Found in very good antique condition. Sports no monograms or removals, no areas of unsightly damage or repairs. Just very light surface scratches and tarnish commensurate with age and gentle use (please note gilded bowl shows wear to gilding). Similar items retail for $180.00+ when found in other venues and is being offered for a low opening bid and no reserve. Thank you.
