This is a rare collectors model in 1:43 scale by Ebbro of Japan, brand new in original packaging, Ebbro item number 43677.

In 1960 the Toyopet Corona was released in Japan to compete in the rapidly expanding small car sector. It was fairly conventional except for its cantilevered rear suspension which gave it a remarkably good ride and this combined with its spacious interior no doubt helped with its popularity. The PT20 Corona was also sold in export markets such as Australia as the Toyota Tiara.

This Ebbro model features accurate wheels with plated hubcaps and white wall tyres, and a nicely modelled body finished in authentic white that captures the shape and stance of the original car perfectly. Other features include finely moulded window frames, plated windscreen wipers, external rear view mirrors, plated door handles, plated bumpers and all correct external badges.

The interior is also very well done, with steering wheel and column gearchange lever, detailed dashboard and instrument panel with all controls and other features shown, rear view mirror, sun visors, detailed door trims with all correct handles, window winders and armrests plus proper contoured and coloured seats.

Ebbro models are amongst the finest 1:43 scale models of their type available. Detail and finish are absolutely top class and second to none in this price range. All are limited editions, this item being one of only 3000 pieces originally produced for worldwide distribution. This item is brand new in original unmarked packaging.

International -
